Thaketa Township 60th Anniversary

Thaketa Township is located in the eastern part of Yangon, Myanmar. The township comprises 19 wards, and shares borders with Thingangyun Township in the north and west, the Bago River in the east, and Dawbon Township in the south. The Pazundaung Creek flows through the township. Founded in 1959, Thaketa is made up largely of middle-class and working-class neighborhoods.

MSME Trade Promotion & Regional Award

The 7th MSME Product Exhibition & Competition (Yangon) was held at the Myanmar Expo Fortune Plaza in Thaketa Township, Yangon for three days from 16 to 18 November 2018. On 16 November 2018, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Work Committee (MSMEDWC) Chairman Vice President U Myint Swe opened the 7th Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Product Exhibition & Competition (Yangon) at the Myanmar Expo Fortune Plaza (Exhibition Hall), Thaketa Township, Yangon.
